Backing up Google Drive with Google Takeout

You can use Google Takeout to backup your school data to an external hard drive, computer, or a personal Google Drive. All seniors are encouraged to use Google takeout to backup their school Google Drive, as all school Google accounts are disabled after graduation.

Directions

  1. Go to takeout.google.com.

  2. Under “CREATE A NEW EXPORT”, select the data that you want to keep. You can save your Gmail, Google Drive, or any other data in the Google services listed.
